About this feature

Prayminder includes Bible reading to support your prayer life and daily reflection. To make this possible, we use the YouVersion Platform, which provides access to a wide range of Bible translations from around the world.

Bible content in Prayminder is provided through the YouVersion Platform. YouVersion partners with publishers and Bible societies to make Scripture available digitally, while respecting the rights and permissions of each translation. This allows us to offer trusted, high-quality Bible content directly within the app.

How to use

In this section you can find useful step by step instructions on how you can read the Bible and save scripture to your prayers.

How to read the Bible

The easiest way to read the Bible inside Prayminder is by tapping the new tab with the book icon at the bottom. In this new section named Read, you can tap to read the Bible.

While reading the Bible, you can do the following:

  • Tap at the < and > icons at the top to browse to the previous / next chapter
  • Tap on the book & chapter's name to change to another book or chapter
  • Select any book or chapter to read

How to add scripture to your prayers while reading the Bible

While you are reading the Bible, you might wish to save scripture to your prayers. You can tap on one or more verses (either successive ones, or not), and then choose which prayer you would like to add the verses to.

How to add scripture to a specific prayer

You can also add scripture to a specific prayer straight from within each prayer's detail view.

How to change the Bible version or language

You can choose any version out of the ones that are available. Not all versions are available (please read below).

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are some Bible versions missing?

Not all Bible translations are available to use.

Each version is owned and managed by its publisher, and access depends on licensing and permissions. Because of this, some Bible versions may not be available in Prayminder at this time.

Will more Bible versions be added?

Yes. As additional licenses become available through the YouVersion Platform, we will continue to expand the selection of Bible translations in Prayminder.

Our goal is to make the Bible accessible to as many people as possible, across languages and traditions, while respecting the rights of each publisher.

Most Bible translations are copyrighted works.

When reading the Bible in Prayminder, you may see copyright information specific to each translation. This reflects the original publisher’s ownership and is required when displaying their content.
