The Bible in Prayminder · Join the Beta

The Bible in Prayminder · Join the Beta

We’re excited to finally be able to share this announcement.

The work of integrating the Bible into Prayminder began last year, when the team at YouVersion invited us to be part of a small group of Christian apps joining their early alpha. They have done an incredible job, not only in what they’ve built, but in how they’ve supported us throughout the process. Every interaction has been marked by generosity, clarity, and care, and we feel deeply honored to have been included in this journey.

Today, we’re opening up the first public beta of Prayminder with the Bible included, available through TestFlight.

From the beginning, prayer has been at the center of Prayminder, and that will not change. At the same time, many of you have shared that your prayer life is closely connected to Scripture, whether that means praying through verses, holding on to specific passages, or returning to words that carry meaning in a certain season. With this integration, that is now possible. You can read the Bible directly within Prayminder and save verses into your prayer items in a way that feels simple and naturally integrated into your existing rhythm.

Currently, the Bible content available in Prayminder includes 1123 versions through the YouVersion Platform. This is already far more than we expected to be able to offer at this stage, and it covers a wide range of languages. At the same time, not every Bible version is available yet. Additional versions will be added over time as publishers grant permission and licensing through the platform, and we will continue to expand this library step by step.

Below, you’ll find simple instructions on how to access the beta and how the experience works in practice.

It’s important to say that this is only the beginning. What we’re releasing now is a first step, a foundation we can build on together. Over time, we plan to expand both the depth of the Bible experience and the ways it connects with prayer inside the app. As always, your feedback will play an important role in shaping what this becomes.

If you would like to be among the first to try it, we warmly invite you to join the beta through the TestFlight link below. The production release will follow once we feel confident, together with your help, that it is ready.

We’re deeply grateful for this step, and we pray that this integration will support many of you in your daily return to prayer, helping Scripture and prayer live closer together in the quiet flow of everyday life.

Read more about how this feature works

👉
This feature is currently available only in the TestFlight beta version installed through the steps below.

Back up before you test

This is a test version of the app. While it’s stable, things can go wrong, and test builds can behave differently from the App Store version.

  • Before installing the test version, please back up your prayers.
  • You can do this from Settings → Export prayers.

This ensures you won’t lose anything important. (Please note that exporting and importing only includes your prayers. Prayer statistics are stored locally on your device and are not part of the backup. If you uninstall the app, your statistics will be permanently lost.)

How to test

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store if you don’t already have it
  2. Open Safari (or your select web browser) and visit prayminder.com/test
  3. Install the Prayminder test version
  4. Use the app as you normally would, and try out custom schedules
👉
Please note that the beta has a limited number of spots, so we encourage you to join soon if you’d like to participate.

(If you run into any issues installing the test version, please follow the instructions on the TestFlight page or reach out to us and we'll help you.)

Good to know

👉
Please note that while we’re testing and releasing beta updates, some details of the feature may change or be adjusted based on feedback.
👉
If at any point you prefer to stop testing and return to the regular App Store version, please do not delete the Prayminder app from your device, as this will also remove your app data. Instead, download Prayminder again from the App Store and it will replace the test version. Before switching back, make sure to disable any custom prayer times, as you will not be able to manage them after reinstalling the App Store version.
👉
TestFlight builds expire after 90 days, so remember to eventually update to the App Store version to continue using the app without interruption.
👉
As mentioned above, we strongly recommend exporting your prayers and keeping a backup, just in case anything unexpected happens during testing.

Feedback

Your feedback is essential while we’re testing this. If something feels confusing, doesn’t work as expected, or could be improved, please let us know.

You can share feedback directly in the TestFlight app by opening Prayminder in TestFlight and tapping Send Beta Feedback, or you can just contact us.

Thank you for walking this journey with us and for helping shape Prayminder into something that truly supports prayer in everyday life.

Blessings,
