A major milestone is behind us, and a bigger chapter is ahead. With the foundations in place, we’re ready to keep building Prayminder together.
Dear friends,
The new Prayminder for Android is now available to everyone, and alongside it we’re releasing version 1.5 on both iPhone and Android on the same day, with the same new features on each.
The same Prayminder on every phone
We're excited to announce that thanks to everyone who tested it over the past few weeks, the new Android app has now left beta and is reaching existing users as a regular update through the Play Store, with prayers, groups and reminder settings carried over automatically.
This brings us to a milestone we have worked toward for years: platform parity. Prayminder is now the same app on every phone, and after years of Android users waiting for features that were already available on iPhone, every new feature we build can now reach all of you together.
Version 1.5, on iPhone and Android together
To mark the occasion, both apps now share the same version number, and from here on, the same number will mean the same features on either platform. Version 1.5 is rolling out now on the App Store and Google Play with three improvements.
Press and hold for more

Press and hold a prayer, reminder or verse to see the actions available for it, so you can mark a prayer as answered, move it to another group, change a verse’s translation and more, without having to open it first. We encourage you to make this a habit, because this interaction is where we’ll keep adding new actions as the app grows. See everything press and hold can do
Sort your prayers your way

Your prayer list can now be sorted alphabetically, with the newest prayers first, or with the oldest first. You can choose one order for all your prayers, then set a different one for any group where another order makes more sense. You’ll find Sort prayers in the menu at the top of the Prayers tab, and Sort group in each group’s menu. Read more about sorting
Choose where the app opens
Some of you open Prayminder mainly to pray through your list, while others come in to view their reminders. You can now choose whether the app starts on the Prayers or Reminders tab, so it opens where you usually want to be. You’ll find this under Home view in App Preferences. Read more
A help center for every part of the app

Many of you have asked for a place to learn how Prayminder works in more detail. The new Help Center at help.prayminder.com now has articles with screenshots for both iPhone and Android, covering every part of the app.
The links above already lead there, and you can also reach it through the support option in Settings. It is still in beta, and we’ll keep adding more detailed guidance and, over time, videos. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, let us know. Your questions will help us make it better.
What we’re building together

With the new cloud reminder system built, Android rebuilt from the ground up, and both apps moving forward together, we’ve reached the milestone we’ve been working towards. Now comes the next chapter: bringing you more of the features you’ve been asking for, continually improving your everyday experience, and taking on larger projects like sharing prayers and praying together in groups.
The foundations are in place, and we’re ready to turn years of ideas and conversations with you into the next generation of Prayminder.
All this work has been carried forward by the two of us, with Prayminder as Panos’s full-time job, without a salary. Recurring gifts currently total about $220 a month, and one-time gifts add to that in amounts that vary a lot from one month to the next. We’re grateful to everyone whose generosity has helped us reach this point. So much has already been built with limited funding, and now we have both the foundations and the experience to take this work much further.
Imagine what we can build together with hundreds, and eventually thousands, of people supporting this mission through monthly giving.
Monthly giving funds the development and ongoing care that bring this vision into your hands, helping more people share their prayers, remember one another, and return to God throughout the day. What began with two people becomes a mission carried by a whole community. Prayminder remains free for everyone, whether you give or not, and those who are able have a part to play in building what comes next. Become a monthly supporter and help bring this vision to life, so together we can cover the world in prayer.
Thank you for being part of this community. Let’s cover the world in prayer.
Blessings,
Panos & Emma
